Jay Clarke
Owner

Morgan Creek Grill is Jay's second successful restaurant in the Charleston area. (Former owner and developer of Atlanticville on Sullivan's Island). His vision has built Morgan Creek into two unique and successful restaurants at one breathtaking location on the Intracoastal Waterway.
 
Bert Ottmers
Executive Chef

Bert Ottmers began his love for the culinary arts at a young age while growing up in the Texas Hill Country. After high school, Bert enlisted in the navy where he spent time over sea’s and explored many different cultures which inspired him to become interested in different cuisines. His journey took him to Vermont, where he attended the New England Culinary Institute. After graduating, Bert moved to Phoenix, Arizona to work under celebrity chef, Eddie Matney then to St. Croix, USVI, where he became the executive chef of Tutto Bene. Chef Ottmers joined Morgan Creek in 2002 where he serves as Executive Chef, bringing his diverse culinary experiences to the menu.
 
Paul Saner
Sous Chef

Sous Chef Paul Saner graduated from the French Culinary Institute in 1992. He spent five years in New York City working in such renowned spots as Fresco by Scotto and Gramercy Tavern. From there he landed in beautiful St Croix USVI where he spent the next eleven years as Executive Chef of Duggan's Reef which was named "Best Seafood Restaurant in St Croix" Paul joined Morgan Creek Grill in March of 2007 where he now expands our menu with his creative, island influenced talents.
